I first met Jim after Robin went to pick him up after I had wondered into the club and was have bad DT’s. The first words he said to me were, “well, do you want to get sober or get drunk, I got money, either way I can help you out.” Hes a good egg.
I will remember Jim at my first Halloween party at the Alano Club 2007. I think he was dressed up as a mouse….(part of 3 blind mice?????) but I think he was saying he was something else….did not know him that well but I do know he had a great sense of humor!!!!!!!!!!!!
He went to Lillian’s baptism down at the river. He was the life of the party! Everybody loved him, he made everyone laugh and it was like he was everyone’s best friend. When we went home I asked Lillian how he could know all those people and she said “he didn’t know any of them! He was a total stranger to all of them!” Jim just loved people! You could always tell.
Jim went over to the east side of Glacier with a bunch of us. We were going to camp for the night when we got there and hike early the next morning while Jim waited at the lodge. That night He stayed up all night marveling at the stars that hung over the KOA in St Mary’s. He couldn’t get over how many there were and how bright they were. The next day after we got back from the hike he was just as elated about visiting with everyone at the lodge all day. He told us stories about all the pretty women he talked to from all over the world. He had a big goofy grin, his hair was a big poof ball and he had food on his chin and cheeks. Then I continued to look at his shirt, also full of food stains and beverage stains. I thought wow, all those women must have been a little scared of this guy!
Jim introduced himself to me some 8(?) years ago. I always felt he was keeping an eye out for Lisa, and had her best interests at heart. He was Lisa’s friend, made her laugh, and I appreciated him for that. I’m not sure of his status just now, but wanted to share that I am sending prayers from Wisconsin for him, his family, and friends. He must be a fine person to have so many friends who care about him.

St. Patrick’s Day. “Kiss me I’m Irish” Hat. So we all put on red lipstick and he got kissed by a train of women. You can imagine how happy he was! And then we smashed a green cupcake in his face.ย ย I love you Jimmy. I’m going to miss you so much.
Spending countless hours in Finnegan’s, just laughing and talking about life.
I have so many great memories of Jim. One of my favorites is the time we walked the Trail of the Cedars in Glacier National Park, and how excited he was to be there.
